Dia 22/Day 22 - Rio de Janeiro

Today, we started our first real day in Rio early in the morning, because we were going to sleep in apartments for the next 3 days and needed to go buy food for the breakfast here. After we came back, from the supermarket, we had some time to eat breakfast and pack our stuff, to spend the morning at the famous Ipanema beach. Arriving there everybody founded out really fast that the waves there are really big and strong, so swimming there was a bit complicated. But we still had the chance to have a lot of fun, being in the water, lying at the beach or buying things from the local sellers at the beach. After having our lunch in a Restaurant, we went to the next part of today's trip: visiting the christ statue, one of the most famous places in Rio de Janeiro. Arriving there we needed to wait a bit for the train which should bring us up the mountain, and were spending the time with listening to some music or talking to friends. But at the end we could be really happy that we needed to wait sometime, because exactly at the time we were going up it stopped raining. Seeing the christ statue for the first time was reallly impressive for all of us, and we took a lot of fotos together with our friends. Unfortunately it started to rain again and it got really cold, so we went back down an half hour earlier than planned, but therefore we could spend some time in the souvenir shops before we were going to our dinner. The last thing we did after dinner was going to a little market in Copacabana, where we also had the chance to buy some souvenirs from Rio. Going back to the hotel and having our meeting we all went to our rooms to be rested for the next day in Rio de Janeiro

Hoje nos começamos o nosso "primeiro" dia aqui em Rio bem cedo, porque quando como vamos dormir nas apartamentos pelos próximos 3 dias, precisamos ir ao supermercado e comprar as coisas para o café da manhã. Voltamos para apartamento, tivemos tempo para tomar café e nos arrumar para ir na famosa praia de Ipanema. Chegamos lá e percebemos rápido que as ondas eram muito grandes e fortes, o que dificultava a natação. Mas ainda nos divertimos muito no água, ficando na praia ou olhando as coisas dos vendedores. Depois de comermos almoço em um restaurante, nós continuamos o nosso tour: uma visita ao Cristo redentor, um dos lugares mais famosos no Rio. Chegamos lá tivemos tempo porque precisávamos esperar pelo trem. Mas no final nós tivemos muita sorte porque quando o nosso trem chegou, parou de chover. Todo mundo estava muito entusiasmado olhando para a estátua do Cristo, e tiramos muitas fotos com os amigos. Infelizmente começou a chover de novo, e voltamos meia hora mais cedo, mas por isso tivemos tempo para olhar as lojas de lembrancinhas. Depois do jantar, tivemos a reunião e fomos para os quartos para descansar para o próximo dia.
